If you plan to attend this summer’s Career and Technical Education conference in Greensboro, be sure to stop by two LEARN NC presentations. Both take place on Thursday, July 24 at the Koury Convention Center/Sheraton Greensboro Hotel:
How Will CTE Students Learn Online? – 2:15 p.m.
Online learning opportunities for students are growing – students can now enroll in online courses offered by North Carolina Virtual Public School or by their home system using DPI’s curriculum and LEARN NC’s Moodle server. In this session, you will explore how online learning works, the characteristics of successful online learners, how you can enroll students in NCVPS courses, and how you can teach some CTE courses online with LEARN NC.
Moodle at LEARN NC: Who, What, How, When, Why? – 3:30 p.m.
Do you teach e-Commerce I or II? Do you want to supplement your classroom resources with a learning management system? If so, you need to get to know Moodle. Starting this summer, LEARN NC will offer online courses exclusively on the Moodle platform. Training sessions are in progress–and they’re FREE if you’re already trained to teach in Blackboard with LEARN NC. Come explore the educational and collaborative possibilities Moodle has to offer.
