Carolina Raptor Center celebrates Educator Appreciation Day

The Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville, North Carolina has planned a fun-filled day on September 28, 2008 in appreciation of teachers. Walk the trails, talk with staff, and meet some of the Center’s raptors. You can also find out how your class can adopt a bird or get bird artifacts for educational use, and schedule a Carolina Raptor Center program for your class or school. Other highlights include:
- Live raptor presentations all afternoon
- Free environmental education materials for every educator
- Light refreshments
- 10% gift shop discount for educators during the event
- Door prizes
Admission is free for educators with an educator ID, and guest admission is 1/2 price. Please RSVP by Friday, September 26th, by calling 704-875-6521 Ext. 205. The event will be held weather permitting.
