Teach these online courses in your school for free
Posted June 10, 2009 · by Bill Ferris · in Online courses
We’ve made two more online courses available for you to teach in your school this fall. Adolescent Literacy: English Language Arts Comprehension Strategies and Introduction to Online Learning are both available for North Carolina teachers who have completed LEARN NC’s Moodle Training course.
These courses are offered on LEARN NC’s Moodle server. LEARN NC is the statewide provider of the Moodle learning management system. All public schools in North Carolina can offer online courses on LEARN NC’s Moodle platform after their teachers complete our online Moodle Training course. We train your teachers. We host your course on our server. We enroll your students. We provide live technical support. All you have to do is teach.
If you’ve completed Moodle Training, you can request a course copy through our website. If you haven’t yet completed Moodle Training, you can read the course description, which includes a list of training start dates.

This is a great opportunity! I think I’ve completed moodle training- am I good to go then?
On another note- would I be able to teach other courses in my district IF I pay LEARNNC for hosting the course?
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sashi
Hello, Sashi. I’ll check with the registrar regarding Moodle. And yes, you could teach other courses in your district, but if you’ve completed Moodle Training, you don’t need to pay us anything. Course hosting is included with Moodle Training.
Thanks,
Bill
I have taken the Moodle Training course and would like to offer Moodle Training and Introduction to Online Learning with teachers at my school. Are both courses free of charge to teachers if they have not taken the initial Moodle Training course? Also, does LearnNC offer free courses for elementary students in
grades 4-6?
Thanks,
Yolanda
Hi, Yolanda. You are welcome to teach Introduction to Online Learning in your school. You can request a course copy online.
However, our Moodle Training course is not a shareable course, so you wouldn’t be able to offer that one in your school.
