McDonald’s is giving away free iced or hot mocha coffee drinks on Mondays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until August 3. You don’t need a coupon, nor do you need to buy a Big Mac to claim your free java. Offer valid at participating locations, blah blah blah.

Depending on where you teach, you might already be at school at 7. In that case, maybe stop in after dismissal for an icy treat.

While I realize this deal isn’t teacher-specific, if teachers don’t deserve some free coffee, nobody does.

Once August hits, it’s time to gird your loins and restock your supplies for the fall. Since you’ll be buying supplies anyway, you can save some bucks and eat some donuts at Office Depot during their Star Teacher Appreciation Week beginning in late July and early August (exact dates vary by location — see when Teacher Appreciation Week happens in your area).
